Sharon Grassi
I am the military caregiver for my 100%-disabled son Derek, an US Army combat medic and Infantryman. With other caregivers, I run Co-Op Survival – a local non-profit www.co-opsurvival.com. Co-Op brings military caregivers, Veterans, and the community together to connect while making dog leashes that we give to Veterans, service dogs, military dogs, and first responders. Our motto: It’s Not About the Leash!
I'm also an Arizona Elizabeth Dole Fellow alum. As a Fellow, I advocate for military-caregiving families on issues; such as, parent caregiving and military transitions.
